Terms of Service

The short version: Use Profilio for legitimate professional growth. You own the content you create. We charge as described. You can cancel anytime. Don't abuse the platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Profilio at web.profilio.app ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Profilio ("we", "us", "our").
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Profilio. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at hello@profilio.app if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. Profilio is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account.
You may not create accounts on behalf of others, share your account with others, or use automated means to create accounts.
4. Credits System
Profilio operates on a credit-based system. Credits are consumed by AI-powered actions within the app:

Credits reset monthly on your billing date. Unused credits do not roll over to the next month. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or refunded.
5. Subscription Plans & Billing
Profilio offers the following subscription plans:

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. All prices are in USD. Billing is handled by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing, you authorise Profilio to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.
6. Cancellation & Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to your paid plan until then. We do not offer refunds for partial months or unused credits.
If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at hello@profilio.app within 14 days of the charge and we will investigate.
7. Free Trial
We may offer a free trial period for paid plans. At the end of the trial, your selected plan will automatically begin billing unless you cancel before the trial ends. You will not be charged during the trial period.
8. Content Ownership
Your content is yours. You retain full ownership of any content you create using Profilio — including LinkedIn posts, comments, roadmaps, and exported resumes. By using the Service, you grant Profilio a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your content solely to provide the Service to you.
You represent that you have the right to use any content you upload (such as your resume) and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.
9. AI-Generated Content
Profilio uses AI to generate content suggestions on your behalf. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before using it. Profilio does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated content. You should not rely on AI-generated career or financial advice without independent verification.
Profilio is not liable for any consequences arising from your use of AI-generated content, including posts published to LinkedIn or other platforms.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Profilio to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Impersonate another person or create false professional profiles
- Generate content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit
- Spam LinkedIn or any other platform with AI-generated content in automated bulk
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to access the source code of the Service
- Use automated scripts or bots to access or scrape the Service
- Resell, sublicence, or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent
- Circumvent usage limits, create multiple accounts to exploit free credits, or abuse the credits system
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without refund.
11. LinkedIn Platform Compliance
Profilio is not affiliated with LinkedIn Corporation. When using content generated by Profilio on LinkedIn, you remain responsible for compliance with LinkedIn's User Agreement and Professional Community Policies. Profilio does not post content to LinkedIn on your behalf — all publishing is performed manually by you.
12. Intellectual Property
The Profilio platform, including its name, logo, design, code, and underlying technology, is the property of Profilio and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights in Profilio's intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the Service as described herein.
13. Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We will endeavour to notify users of planned downtime in advance. Profilio is not liable for any losses arising from service interruptions.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Profilio does not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or continuously available.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Profilio's total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Profilio in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.
Profilio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
16. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time from account settings or by emailing hello@profilio.app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we cease operating the Service. Upon termination, your data will be deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration or the jurisdiction agreed upon by the parties.
